Ramair PRORAM Oversized Air Intake – PRK-148-BK
The Ramair PRORAM PRK-148-BK is a complete oversized open air intake for various VAG models with a 1.8 or 2.0 TSI/TFSI EA888 Gen 3 engine on the MQB platform. The kit is suitable for both left-hand and right-hand drive vehicles.
This intake replaces the entire original intake tract from the air filter to the turbo. The oversized aluminum intake pipe tapers from 102 mm at the air filter to an 80 mm turbo inlet, allowing air to flow to the turbo with less restriction. The included V-band connection ensures a strong and smooth connection between the hard pipe and turbo inlet.
The high-quality pleated PRORAM synthetic nanofiber filter is combined with a Twin-Tangential Velocity Stack. This design helps to guide the air evenly into the intake tract. The black powder-coated heat shield forms a barrier between the air filter and the heat in the engine compartment.
Due to its open design and larger diameter, the intake produces a noticeably more powerful induction and turbo sound than the original air filter housing. The kit is particularly interesting for vehicles with chip tuning, Stage 2 hardware, or a larger turbo, but can also be installed on a standard vehicle.

Please note
Due to the oversized intake pipe, there is less space near the diverter valve. Therefore, use the intake with:
- the original diverter valve;
- a compact GFB T9381;
- or Forge Motorsport FMDVMK7A.
Not compatible with the GFB DV+ T9351.
Always check the engine code and the shape of the original intake tract before ordering. Not every vehicle with a 1.8 or 2.0 engine automatically uses the same connection.
