MST Performance Closed Cold Air Intake – MST-VW-MK99903
The MST Performance MST-VW-MK99903 is a fully enclosed cold air intake system for selected VAG models with the 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 4 EVO engine of 180 kW / 245 hp.
The system features a closed PE air filter housing with a transparent top. This keeps the sport air filter visible and allows for easy inspection, cleaning, or replacement. The closed housing helps shield the filter from hot air from the engine bay.
The reusable high-flow air filter has a large connection diameter of 89 mm. From the filter, the intake tract gradually progresses to the included 3-inch/76 mm aluminum turbo inlet elbow. This creates a smooth airflow from the filter to the turbo.
The intake provides improved airflow, sharper throttle response, and a distinctly sportier intake and turbo sound. For an even louder intake sound, the transparent lid can be removed. MST states that the system fits directly to the original mounting points.

Maintenance
Check the air filter regularly. Clean the filter thoroughly around 20,000 kilometers and replace it around 60,000 kilometers, depending on usage and driving environment.
