Ramair ProMax Closed Air Intake with PRORAM Filter – PRK-316-BK
The Ramair ProMax PRK-316-BK is a closed performance air intake for various VAG models with a 1.8 TSI/TFSI or 2.0 TSI/TFSI EA888 Gen 3 engine on the MQB platform. The kit replaces the restrictive original air filter housing and intake hose with a larger aluminum airbox, a pleated PRORAM nanofiber air filter, and specially molded silicone intake hoses.
The aluminum housing shields the air filter from heat in the engine bay. The large bell-mouth air intake promotes cold air delivery, while the silicone hoses ensure direct and smooth airflow to the turbo. This results in a sportier induction and turbo sound, sharper throttle response, and improved airflow.
The ProMax intake is suitable for both standard and tuned vehicles and can also be used for fast-road and motorsport applications.
Difference from JSK-316-BK
The PRK-316-BK and JSK-316-BK have the same airbox, silicone hoses, and vehicle fitment. The difference lies in the air filter:
- PRK-316-BK: pleated PRORAM nanofiber filter
- JSK-316-BK: Ramair foam filter
