HG Motorsport HFI Open Air Intake Kit – VAG EA888 Gen4 280–333 hp

The HG Motorsport HFI Open Air Intake Kit (HGHFISV07R-1) was developed for VAG models with the EA888 Gen4 2.0 T(F)SI engines DNFE, DNFC, DNFB, DNFG, and DNNF. This version is suitable for engine outputs of 280 to 333 hp.

The open air filter system replaces the original air filter housing and provides a freer airflow to the turbo. The kit consists of a large oiled Pipercross performance air filter, a flow-optimized 89 mm silicone intake hose, and a black powder-coated heat shield. The heat shield partially isolates the air filter from the heat in the engine bay.

On the flow bench, the system achieves 76% to 84% more airflow than the original air intake. The improved airflow supports direct throttle response and provides a more clearly audible intake and turbo sound. This gives the car a sportier character, especially when accelerating, shifting, and letting off the throttle.

The intake is suitable for both standard vehicles and cars with software and hardware upgrades.
